With a background in both theater and television
production, Antonia founded Dramahaus in 2002 following her
production of John Mighton's Possible
Worlds, directed by Mimi
McGurl, which garnered an Off Off
Broadway award for 2002.
In 2004 she collaborated with Romanian-born director Adrian
Giurgea to produce his world-premiere stage adaptation
Diary of a
Chambermaid, Octave
Mirbeau's scandalous novel of master and servant
intrigue from the early 1900s. The 11 person production
met with critical acclaim during its run
at Walkerspace in New York City - including its
inclusion in Backstage Magazine's Best of the
Year list for 2004.
In 2006 she collaborated with playwright Sarah Overman to
produce the world-premiere of her historical drama
Her Majesty the
King directed by Patrick McNulty.
Her Majesty the
King is a bold retelling of
the Wars of the Roses seen through the eyes of Margaret
of Anjou, known as the "Brutal Queen" in British
history. Currently she is developing THE CHAOS
TRADE - An American Comedy of Investment Errors
by T. Cat Ford - the first full length theatrical
response to the ongoing economic meltdown.
In addition to running Dramahaus, Antonia produced and
directed several readings with the Off Broadway theater
company 29th St. Rep and has
assisted producer Ludovica Villar-Hauser on her Off
Broadway premiere of Duet.
She is Co-Artistic Director with 29th St. Rep's THE HIVE
www.hiveat29th.com - a
reinvention of the Off Broadway company launched after
losing their theater space after 20 years. She is the
ongoing voice over talent for Duke University TIP's
online learning programs http://www.tip.duke.edu/.
As an actor, she has performed both
regionally and throughout New York City. Prior to her move
to New York City in 2001, Antonia worked as a television
producer with the NBC and CBS affiliates in San Francisco
as well as serving as web content developer for Grace
Cathedral's award-winning website in San Francisco.
Antonia holds a B.S. in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern
University and an M.F.A. in Acting from the
